The Hideout
The Hideout Hotel is an offering based out of a renovated pirate ship docked in Nosy Boraha, Madagascar. The brand identity had to appeal to people who love travel, adventure, and are willing to spend a lot of money on luxury and unique experiences. The client also requested that the name and any visual assets steer clear of typical pirate stereotypes and tropes. The name “The Hideout” comes from Nosy Boraha’s history as a pirate hideout. The strikeout alludes to the secluded nature of the island and the wave and steering wheel elements were created by piecing together elements of the letterforms from the wordmark.
