	So iLL is a company known mostly for creating climbing holds and training equipment. They have recently created a clothing collection in partnership with Jason Momoa and wanted a campaign to celebrate their shift from technical gear only, to fashion. The campaign appeals to their current clientele who want to climb hard, but also look good doing it. The name “Fashion Sends” is a play on the phrase “fashion sense” with the word “sends” also doubling for finishing a climb in climber lingo.

	Basecamp Outdoor is working to increase salary transparency on job postings. As we worked with the client, we asked ourselves:

“How can we use motion graphics to communicate the importance of including salary on job postings, while creating a file size that can be shared across various social media platforms and through email?”
	



	
	

	


	


	
 
	Process
	We used existing brand elements to create a motion graphic that depicts a journey; much like the journey that job seekers embark on when they apply to open positions. Varied weight is used to highlight important concepts and to provide contrast within the text. We decided to go with a 1:1 square posting ratio, as the graphic could translate effectively across multiple platforms including LinkedIn and Instagram.

The American University Office of Human Resources hosts an annual Staff Appreciation Week. The Senior Coordinator of Staff Experiences wanted a complete rebranding, in order to boost attendance and to encourage staff to participate.  The team needed a brand that answered the question:
 
“How can HR at American University create an event that reflects the diversity of staff while also showcasing growth, being together, and celebrating accomplishments?”
The final campaign included various assets, including digital and print ads, email marketing design, shirt design, volunteer pass designs, signage, and more.&#38;nbsp;

	Process
	American University sits in the heart of Washington, D.C. The area itself is highly diverse. We wanted to accurately reflect the diversity of our staff, while also maintaining a people-facing presence for 
Human Resources, who sponsored the entire event.In order to maintain compliance with current University branding, we opted to use the University’s Indigo color as our monotone overlay accent in the series. This allowed us to draw the pieces together, and create a modern, fresh and instantly recognizable suite of assets that included a website, wayfinding signage, print advertisements and volunteer shirts.

 
	


	
	Results
	These various touchpoints allowed us to reach a further audience across campus, and boost overall event enrollment by 50%.

The American University Office of Human Resources run Open Enrollment each year during the first two weeks of November. In order to help faculty and staff prepare for the event, we designed three long-form documents to spell out all benefits. These documents were the general Open Enrollment Guide, the COBRA Open Enrollment Guide, and the Retirement Open Enrollment Guide.&#38;nbsp;
In order to help refresh the look, we went with a circular design to embrace the feeling of a circle of wellness and health, and went with the University’s AU Blue color to evoke the feeling of health and security. We were asking ourselves:
 
“How can HR at American University make all staff and faculty aware of their Open Enrollment benefits in way that is engaging and reflective of what is provided?”
The final campaign included various assets, including digital and print assets, accesible interactive PDFs, and email marketing campaigns.

	Process
	Since Open Enrollment only happens once a year, it’s crucial that all pertinent information is provided to staff and faculty, so that they can make informed decisions with their health. 
In order to prepare for the mass amounts of information we had to present, I sketched out several ideas for parent pages that we would be using across the documents. Each parent page featured ways to display information, pull out definitions, charts, and more.&#38;nbsp;

	By creating strong parent pages and a strong communications timeline that had cohesive branding across the entire way, we were able to increase enrollment to informational sessions by 50%.&#38;nbsp;

Brand Guidelines
	A futuristic packaging design for CUPPA KAFFA’s beanless coffee. Their sustainable coffee “bean” aims to alleviate the destruction and high carbon footprint that arises from the current coffee harvesting process. The name was informed by the Ethiopian terms for “cup” and “coffee.” The packaging itself reflects the company’s desire to push for the coffee of the future, while paying homage to vintage sci-fi posters that depict the future with simple graphic elements. The design provides a template for the package that is interchangeable for various varieties of coffee that is produced under the CUPPA KAFFA brand.

	Process &#38;amp; Solution
	Since everyone handles grief differently, I created an abstract logo, name, and visual elements to allow for an open interpretation for anyone encountering the brand. These included a logo created from the eye of the “e,” gradients that radiate outwards and an analogus color palette with a neutral accent. The name “Keeper” was chosen to reflect the mission of keeping the memories of lost ones alive. &#38;nbsp;

	Brand Application
	An easy to use template was created for social media posts. The gradient colors can be changed with other brand colors. A clear hierarchy on each slide allows for easy to read and concise communication that doesn’t overload the slide.

Other designs included assets that are aligned with the brand including journals, packaging, and a deck of conversation cards for people to use with loved ones. &#38;nbsp;
